Main steps of metal crafts

1.Molding

        Molding is the key of whole manufacture, it is the first step when custom order comfirmed from our clients,next we need to make 3D mould artwork and send it to our customers ,then forward to molding on machine after artwork was approved.usually have to cost 3-4 days until mold finished.

2.Stamping-hydraulic machine

      Hydraulic pressure is one of stamping way,it is usually used on brass/zinc alloy material products after mold completed, and pressure should be controlled by workers,coin is a normal product via this way.

3.Die struck-punching machine

Punching is the second way of stamping,it is usually used on brass/zinc alloy/iron material products after mold completed, and pressure should be controlled by workers like hydraulic ,badge,lapel pin,trolley token and dog tag are normal products via this way.

4.Die casting

Die casting is a standard process in custom metal products, it is often used on zinc alloy material,the 3D effect will looks great if made by casting,so medal,medallion,coin,keychain and trophy are used in die casting .

5.Polishing

important step of all processes, it mainly clean the angle material and make the semi-finished products looks smoothly after casting completed, and most of zinc alloy products are need to be polished like medal,medallion,coin,keychain  and trophy.

6.Plating

When the step of polishing finished, the next is plating,usually all of products are need to be cleaned impurities of surface in pickling bath, and then put them on plating shelf via metal clutch,next put them into plating bath slowly,that’s how are gold,silver or bronze plate colors done,For antique colors,we need to brush their surface smoothly when antique colors finished.

7.Painting(soft/hard enamel)

When plating finished,we need to paint if you want to fill some colors into products, and there have 2 ways included soft enamel and hard enamel, they are difference in process: soft enamel need to be painted after plating,but hard enamel need to be painted before plating,soft is cheaper than hard,our factory achieved automation by paint

8.Epoxy coating

Epoxy coating is usually used in badge or lapel pins, some designs are full colors like a photo or picture,if they can not be painted but our customers insisted on keep full colors,then we will suggest them to print with epoxy coating, and some customers are also ask for epoxy after soft or hard enamel finished because they want to protect their colors avoid to be scratched

9.QC/Packing

Most of time,QC and packing is the last steps when 7 steps finished, our factory have more than 10 QC Technicians.

Their mainly job is check products quality which finished and stop poor quality to put into packages.

Then,our packers will check again when they are packing,so it means we can check quality at least two-time.
